If you love classic films and TV series, then the National Film and Sci-Fi Museum in Milton Keynes, England, is a must-see. This unique museum is dedicated to preserving, restoring, and exhibiting props, costumes, and artwork that were used in the creation of the most famous films and TV series.
Artifacts that appeared on screen for only a few seconds would otherwise have been lost forever. A team of volunteers and experts therefore takes care of their preservation and allows fans to see the original items that helped create film history.
The collection is truly extensive – from Star Wars to Indiana Jones, James Bond, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, Marvel, and more than a hundred other titles. You’ll find Darth Vader’s mask, the famous Walther PPK pistol, the Holy Grail from Indiana Jones, and the Cyberman helmet from Doctor Who. And if that’s not enough, there are even several original items from Red Dwarf!
The museum also regularly hosts presentations, discussions with creators, autograph sessions, and special events. It is a place where you can learn, be inspired, and admire the art of filmmaking—a veritable cathedral dedicated to blockbusters.
