Red Dwarf at Bristol Comic-Con 2025

On October 12, 2025, Bristol Comic-Con, an event dedicated to everything related to science fiction, pop culture, and fandom, took place at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. And of course, the crew of Red Dwarf couldn’t miss it!

Bristol Comic-Con offered visitors a wide range of activities: from prop exhibitions and collector’s stalls to artist alley and meetings with TV and film celebrities. There was also a cosplay competition, where fans could compete for the best costume of their favorite character.

The biggest attraction for Czech fans was definitely the guests from Red Dwarf – Craig Charles, Danny John-Jules, Chloe Annett, Doug Naylor, and Anita Dobson. In addition to the traditional autographs and photo opportunities (approx. £30), the organizers also offered a special photo op in the Red Dwarf cabin!

Our crew from the Czech fandom arrived armed with gifts, of course – Trpaslicon T-shirts, audiobooks from OneHotBook, and other small gifts.

Craig, Danny, and Chloe smiled as they recalled their visits to the Czech Republic, and Doug Naylor even revealed that he would like to visit the Czech Republic one day.

Doug also presented his new book Sin Bin Island, which he happily signed for fans. During the day, there was also a panel with the creators and actors of Red Dwarf – we are preparing a separate article about it for you.

Compared to other international conventions, we have visited, Comic Con Bristol seemed smaller but very well organized. Entrances were divided according to time, queues moved quickly, and staff were friendly and helpful.

We were also impressed by the participation of Kevin Sutherland, author of comics for Smegazine, who is now publishing the Pop Star Colouring Books series and drew a free portrait for everyone who bought his book. We informed you about the comic adventures of Red Dwarf in our article.

The whole day was marked by a friendly atmosphere and the joy of meeting creators, actors, and fans.
And we can say with certainty: Bristol Comic-Con 2025 was a cosmic experience!

🎥 We are preparing a report from the panel!
